Opening the shows were Dean and Dan Caten of DSquared2. The flavour was heat, tropical delight with a fusion of 50’s inspired fabulousity. Milan shows have great polish and grooming and this was in full view at the shows.
It was a skin story of uncomplicated beauty…. easy for the many beauties who graced the catwalks!
Full lips of orange red, glowing bronze tinged skin and roots lifted formed a mix of smouldering sensuality at DSquared2.
The look at Gucci was undone beauty. Clean, sophisticated simple .
Fendi with Karl Lagerfield at the helm was a favourite.
Chiffon and organza was layered from red through to peach.
Hacked black cropped wigs with longer fringes and daubed peach lip was simple.
Raw meets sweet.
My absolute favourite in Milan with clappy hands was the amazing art/sport/glitz fusion of Prada… devine!!
Smooth long low sided hair partings teamed with an albino-esque quality with brows and lashes pushed back from view and a wash of amber or green on the eyes… perfect.
Diabilo meets Angelica. Any show opening with Gloria Gaynor’s I am what I am has to show wit and fun and the Moschino show displayed that!
Safety pinned black embellished jackets coupled with winged black liner on eyes and a dark mouth was partnered on the runway, with models in rose print dresses with clean uncomplicated beauty.
My third favourite at Milan was Dolce and Gabbana.
Grecian dreamlike Goddesses…. fairytale meets Fellini.
The lacquered silk dresses lined in tulle to look like pvc were fabulous.
Teamed with the rawness of the pinned hair embellished with gold coins and leaves were bronzed cheeks and stained lip… viva Milano forever!
